All Conference attendees will be staying at the Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center. The hotel is located close to the Penn State campus and downtown. The Penn Stater does offer complimentary van service to downtown on a first come, first served basis. 

The AAP’s Fall Conference room block is full hotel is sold out, at least for November 1. There is a Penn State football home game on November 4 and many fans are coming in early. The Penn Stater has offered to start a waitlist for rooms. Please send your name to Terry Cochran to be added to the waitlist. Although the hotel cannot guarantee a room, they do their best to prioritize in-house guests, However, if you’re planning to attend the conference, we suggest that you secure rooms at another State College hotels in case the Penn Stater does not have enough rooms for everyone on the waiting list.  

Additionally, there are many other hotels in the State College area and AAP recommends booking as quickly as possible as these are hotels are also filling quickly. Please visit this link for a listing of the hotels in the area or visit your favorite travel site (Trivago, Expedia, Trip Advisor, etc.) for availability.

Hotel Debit Card and Check Policy

The Penn Stater will not accept a debit card as payment for overnight room. When guests are using their credit card at check in, the hotel places an automatic hold of $25 per night on the card. The hold can take up to two weeks to be released.  

The hotel does accept checks as payment for overnight rooms. However, the room(s) still need to be secured with a credit card. A $25 per day hold for incidentals will be placed on the card.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

Hotel guests may cancel their reservations at no charge before 4 p.m. local hotel time on the day before arrival. After that date, the hotel will assess guests for one night’s stay. 

Parking

Parking at the Penn Stater is complimentary. Valet parking is not available at this time.
