Education is AAP’s main mission and the entire organization is geared toward continuously education members. Under the guidance of the association’s Education and Conference Planning Committees, AAP offers a wide variety of basic, intermediate and advanced classes on the assessment issues of interest to members. In addition to offering classes that allow members to earn credits during each recertification period, AAP also offers classes each year to prepare members to take the CPE exam.
One way to earn all of the credits needed during the two year recertification period is to attend the two AAP conferences held each year.

IMPORTANT: USPAP Updates (As of May 11, 2021)
The AQB (Appraiser Qualifications Board) has decided the 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course will be effective for two years. The next version of the 7-hour course will be released October 1, 2021 and be available for offering through December 31, 2023. Therefore, any CPEs taking the 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course for our new recertification period (July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023) will need to take the newest course released by the AQB after October 1, 2021.
Starting July 1, 2021 any USPAP courses for CPEs (7-hour course with no test) must be taught by an AQB-certified instructor. AAP has created a list of certified instructors that have been used by AAP chapters. Please contact one of these instructors if your chapter is planning a USPAP class after October 2021.
