The Board of Assessment Appeal trainings sponsored by the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) and the Assessors’ Association of Pennsylvania (AAP) is now available online on demand through CCAP's online learning platform. This training program for all board of assessment appeals/revision, exemption and auxiliary board members will satisfy the requirements of Act 155 of 2018 which requires all members of these boards to complete training to continue to hear county property tax assessment appeals.

Training Details
Information
This training program for all board of assessment appeal/revision, exemption and auxiliary board members will satisfy the requirements of Act 155 of 2018 which requires all members of these boards to complete training to continue to hear county property tax assessment appeals.
Anyone appointed to a board after January 1, 2020 will have six months from the time of their appointment to complete the training.
Any board member who currently holds an active CPE license is exempt from completing this training. Please supply your AV number to the chief assessor in your county.
Any board member who holds an inactive CPE license is exempt from completing Module 1. The county chief assessor will need to verify the license with the PA State Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers.
The county assessment office will be responsible for making sure that each board of assessment appeal/revision, exemption and auxiliary board member completes the necessary training before the June 30 deadline.
Completion certificates will be issued by CCAP to the county assessment office.

Registration
To register for the online on demand training modules, please contact CCAP at PACountiesTraining@pacounties.org. A CCAP staff member will contact you to set up your registration.
You will be registered in the Learning Management System (LMS) site. You will receive an auto-generated email with your username and password that will be needed to access the system to complete the training(s). The email address used to send this email will be noreply@pacountie-gov.cofenselms.com Please check your spam and junk mail folders for this email.
Cost: Each of the three training modules for the on demand training option, is $10 per module. Only check payments will be accepted. Please send a copy of your class confirmation along with your check made payable to CCAP to “BOAA Training”, PO Box 60769, Harrisburg, PA 17106.
Board Members: We encourage board members taking the online training to watch the training along with the county’s chief assessor or someone from the county assessment office. Each board member will need to be registered individually. If your county is planning to have multiple board members taking the online training together, please have the county chief assessor register everyone. After the training module(s) has/have been completed and verified by the county assessment office, certificates of completion will be sent to the assessment office.
